“The best sock minds on the planet have been intensely focused on creating an unrivaled basketball sock,” said Clarke Miyasaki, EVP of Business Development at Stance. “We’ve paired the technical geniuses behind this sock with the creative sock artistry that Stance pioneered, and we hope the world’s greatest basketball players will be as happy as we are with the socks.” Masterfully blending art and science, the limited-edition Stance Fusion Basketball socks feature distinct blue East and red West tie-dye designs to complement each conference’s All-Star uniform, while the innovative sock technology ensures optimal fit and feel for the league’s biggest stars. Stance’s Triniti Technology keys in on moisture management utilizing a mesh venting system, traction control with strategically-placed grippers on the footbed and targeted cushioning in the areas of the foot that take the most impact. “Our goal is to always provide our players with the best apparel and equipment to play the game,” said Lisa Piken Koper, NBA VP of Licensing. “Stance continues to focus on developing products that maximize oncourt performance and the NBA All-Star design is a key example of their commitment to producing innovative products.” NBA fans can now purchase NBA All-Star socks for $25 at Stance.com, NBAStore.com and various Stance retailers worldwide.

Vintage Sunglasses Trend: SUPERIORFRAMESLA

A photo posted by Superior Frames (@superiorframesla) on

Established in 2010, Vintage Sunglasses Seller and taste-maker SUPERIORFRAMESLA
has quickly gained fans and celebrity clients with little social media presence.

Based in Los Angeles and throughout LA County, SUPERIORFRAMESLA owner, Episode
has been a collector and hunter of sunglasses since 2001.

He recalls asking his optician for "something different" from what he carried in his store. After a lost conversation, he searched the streets of LA looking for unique and deadstock eyewear for his personal collection.

After hitting local vintage shops off legendary LA streets La Brea and Fairfax, he realized that he had a niche for eyewear.

Saying " the designs of modern eyewear are just copies of the past, why not rock the past"?

After sharing his finds via Instagram, his followers began asking about where they could find his treasures or if he was selling his collection.

"Folks were me hitting up left and right for my personal collection, I reached out and said I can probably find more if your really interested".

Since then its been all positive for the DJ of nearly 20 years in LA. Who also does not hesitate to rock his favorite vintage sunglasses when DJing. "Yes, they are defitnely an eye catcher on stage, it goes with the DJing"

Recently he has teamed up with former NBA shooting guard Jack McClinton of the San Antonio Spurs.
Jack is a sports manager and business owner with deep connections in NBA.
Together they make sure some the leagues players are looking fresh in vintage sunglasses.

Detroit Donut Shop Honoring Late J Dilla Coming

Dilla’s uncle Herman Hayes, 58, is setting up shop in an 800-square-foot space at242 John R. St., on the ground floor of the Ashley (formerly the Milner Hotel) where Dilla lived briefly as a toddler. Hayes is a former baker at Avalon Bakery and plans to use all organic ingredients at Dilla’s Delights, which he’s looking to open in October or November.
Hayes used to bring Dilla doughnuts as a child, and says he’s one of the reasons Dilla got hooked on the treats. Now he sees making doughnuts in Dilla’s name as a way to honor and preserve his nephew’s memory.
The menu at Dilla’s Delights — which will be open Mondays through Saturdays and during select Detroit Lions home games — will include about 20 different doughnuts whose names will pay tribute to Dilla, the influential and multi-faceted producer who died from complications from Lupus at age 32.
The Conant Gardens Glaze is a nod to the neighborhood where Dilla was raised; Fantastic Fritters honor Fantastic, the album Dilla put out with Detroit hip-hop troupe Slum Village; McNasty Macaroons tip a hat to “McNasty Filth,” a track Dilla did with his side project Jaylib. Other items will honor the neighborhood and the former tenants of the store’s space, which is across from the Detroit Opera House and across Madison Street from Comerica Park.
Donuts, coffee, tea and juices will be on the menu, and Hayes says he plans to have vinyl spinning in the store, both the music of Dilla and the works he sampled in his productions.
